Park City hosted the world during the 2002 Winter Games, now we're ready for you!

The thing to remember about Park City is that while it is a self contained resort town; with all of its inherent fun to be had; that is just the proverbial "tip of the iceberg" as far as activities are concerned. Park City is just 35- 40 minutes from a major metropolitan area and international airport in Salt Lake City. No other major ski destination in the country, let along the world, can boast such a comparison. Salt Lake City; the recent host city of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games; is home to the world class Utah Symphony and Ballet West, modern dance's Ririe-Woodbury and Repertory Dance troupes, the Utah Opera, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The Delta Center is the site of the NBA's Utah Jazz home games and hosts numerous national concert tours.

Salt Lake City is full of arts venues with over 20 art galleries downtown, historic sites, and a stopping point for numerous Broadway shows sponsored by the Theater League of Utah. Not to mention the numerous ethnic festivals throughout the year. These festivals include: First Night, Downtown Farmers' Market, Bluegrass Festival, Blues Festival, Twilight Concert Series, Festival of Trees, Greek Festival, Hispanic Fiesta Days, Brewers Festival, Take a Bite Out of Salt Lake, Living Traditions Festival, Days of '47 Parade, and the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

In comparison, Park City is a microcosm of what the rest of the state has to offer, compounded by a factor of ten. For example, despite what you may have heard, Utah is not "dry". You can get a drink with a nice meal or while listening to a band at one of the more than 100 private clubs and restaurants in Salt Lake. And that is just Salt Lake! Park City, with a year round population of only 7,500 people, boasts over 100 restaurant and more "alcohol beverage service" establishments per capita than any other town in the state. So with a little bit of planning, a few nominal club fees, and lots of new friends; you can wet your whistle just about anywhere you choose along the Wasatch Front.
